The most important thing you need to know about Dr. Taylor Kauffman is that he cares. Integrity, honesty, and excellence are very important to him. Dr. Taylor Kauffman is a Texan by marriage. He was born in Arkansas, grew up in Louisiana, went to college in Texas, studied as a marine biologist in Alabama, and then came back to Texas for dental school, and he is here to stay.

Dr. Kauffman studied Biology at Texas A&M University, where he was in the Corps of Cadets. It was there that he met his wonderful wife Paige. They have been married for over 10 years and have two beautiful children, Ella and Campbell. He loves spending time with his family in the beautiful Texas hill country, enjoys playing golf, and cheering for the Texas A&M Aggies and San Antonio Spurs!

Taylor and Paige fell in love with New Braunfels while he attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. They loved the small-town feel so much that they decided to put down roots in New Braunfels and hope to serve the community for years to come.

As a part of Dr. Taylor Kauffman’s path to becoming an orthodontist, he taught middle school & high school science, which means he is uniquely equipped to connect with his primary patient base on a personal level. Just as you would expect your children to be treated by their teachers at school, you will find that your kids are valued, seen, heard, and cared for as the unique individuals they are. Helping people learn more about themselves is one of Dr. Kauffman’s great joys in life.

The journey that Dr. Kauffman took to become an orthodontist isn’t the typical one. As a third-generation dentist, the values of patient care and his fundamental desire to help others seems to be genetic. Dr. Kauffman is driven to empower kids and offer them the tools to be confident in themselves. It’s no secret that feeling good about yourself leads to higher self-confidence and can unlock your greatest potential. At Kauffman Orthodontics, Dr. Kauffman isn’t just giving you or your children a straighter smile; orthodontics is an empowering change that helps people feel good in their bodies, improving their mental and oral health.

In dental school, Dr. Kauffman was valedictorian of his class at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated with Distinction in Dental Education. Additionally, he went to the University of Oklahoma for his orthodontic residency. What this means for you is that you are working with a dedicated and distinguished orthodontist who genuinely enjoys connecting with and empowering the people around him.

As a father himself, Dr. Kauffman understands the weight of putting your child’s care in someone else’s hands. As such, he will respect and value your children as deeply and authentically as you do.
